I should probably know this having played this game for a year and a half, but what's the difference/what difference does the title have on the character or who they're used?

Support is kinda like the char to boost u either with buff or debuff (acbar, tarkin, palp, etc), the damage not so good, hp is decent. Attacker is char with high damage, sometimes high speed, but low in hp (rey, sidius, leia, etc).

The tag has become less clear lately with the popularity of characters such as chirrut and Biggs. Biggs is a support who has huge damage on his basic and the most devastating call to assist in the game. Chirrut is an attacker who heals and buffs the entire team. It used to be much more obvious, qui gon calls assist and gives offence and heal, and Rey was a glass cannon. The above post does a pretty good job of explaining it but I just wanted to tell you that this is a good question because there are many exceptions.

    Lumi is a good example
Yeah, lumi and chirrut, the best healer are .. wait .. attacker?
    Left by design.
The fixed payout times are the worst part of this game and makes it absolutely family-unfriendly.

Thanks everyone. That clears it up. Doesn't seem to be all that important..just really need to look at the other tags to see what synergy they go with

Only difference I have noticed is when it comes to mods. Percentage based offense primaries and secondaries seem to add exponentially more damage results when added to an attacker vs. support or tank classes

i think it's supposed to be, support focus more on TAC and attacker more on AGI and tanks on STR as primary stat.
of course most characters are hybrids do not really follow these archetypes.
people have mentioned the useful versions of hybrids. so i'll mention a useless version. Dengar's an attacker, but his stats, instead of focusing on doing damage, somehow leans towards more tanky.. So his aoe dmg is not great, and his singular damage is also not great. He actually has a good deal of utility so if anything functionally he's more support than anything else. So there it is, named attacker, built closer to a tank, functions like a support.
unfortunately he doesn't do any of titles great justice outside of a bounty hunter team, thus no one uses him, no matter what one calls him
Attacker

So, I'll try to cover each char real quick
Seha - True Damage (bypass defenses), is good but I feel he's slow
Sylvi - CC?
Yuri - Fast attacker, you're gonna stay a lot in the air
J - Tank, A lot of HP plus he don't have MP, he use his HP for his attacks
Tein - Buff, throw everything at the enemy
Nata - Fast attacker, focus on back dmg
Levia - GENKIDAMA
Harpy - Fast kicker, focus on aerial dmg
Tina - Chase damage, deals more damage in ground thanks to her passive
Violet - Z spamming
Wolfgang - Can't see sh-t 100% of the time
Luna - Counter this, Counter that, Counter everything
Soma - Dunno, I hate her
Bai - Pretty good frozen CC and dmg
Seth - Can't see sh-t 1.000% of the time
