BaseSystem.dmg has a volume named 'Mac OS X Base System'. So that's disk0 and disk1; what about the rest? I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure they are RAM disks to save temporary data in folders OS X modifies as it runs (remember that in recovery mode, you're running from a read-only disk image). Is not bootable. From what I understand, to make it bootable one needs to insert a file called BaseSystem.dmg inside InstallESD.dmg and then burn the resulting DMG (perhaps after converting it to an ISO 9660 file, although I'm not sure whether this is necessary) to a DVD-ROM drive.

Alternativelly if you prefere to use GibMacOS instead of tribeam.shyou can use finalflash.sh script which will use either
the Recovery.pkg or the BaseSystem.dmg, just drop it inside GibMacOS after downloading the desired
version of macOS and run it from there fallowing the prompt.

Get macOS Installer with gibMacOS
Downloading the installer files fairly straight forward process but may take a while depending on your internet speeds.
To start extract gibMacOS and and open your terminal change directory to the gibmacos.command script.
Run it with ./gibMacOS.command
This will allow you to choose the macOS version to download.
In my case I chose option 1. It will download the macOS installer files.
Make sure that BaseSystem.dmg is downloaded completely thats what we will use to create the installer
Once downloaded you can proceed to the next step.
Creating the macOS Install USB
Find BaseSystem.dmg inside /gibMacOS-master/macOS Downloads/publicrelease/
Drag it to your desktop or somewhere else if you prefer.
Open your terminal and change directory to where the BaseSystem.dmg file is in my case:cd Desktop
Then run dmg2img BaseSystem.dmg base.iso it will convert the the dmg file to iso file named base.iso
Open Disks AKA 'Gnome-Disk-Disk-Utility' and drag base.iso to it and hit start restoring.This will take a wile.
I used the TransMac Software to write the dmg file into a 16 GB USB drive, with a GPT partition and FAT32. Mac installer dmg seagate download. Or maybe if someone has such a USB stick around and can take a DMG of it and post a download of it (google drive link maybe). I also have the.app of the beta installer I used a VM to download it and sent it via Google Drive to myself (something in the USB controller of the VMware was not working so writing to the disk from the VM wasn't an option).I lost access to my VM now and I don't have access to a macOS machine.im wondering if someone know of a place I can download a dmg file of the latest stable macOS mojave installer with clover on it.
Once it is done restoring the iso open up Gparted and select your usb-drive.
Rigth click in the unallocated space hit new
In File system select fat32 and in lable type EFI
Hit apply
Once done applying changes righ click on your new EFI partition and hit Manage Flags
Select boot and esp
Now whe need to mount the EFI partition
The easiest way is to open up Disks again and mount it that way
Now you should see an empty EFI partition in your file system

Extract it then extract the iso as well and copy the EFI folder to the empty EFI partition

Now open EFI/CLOVER/drivers/UEFI and all we need there are:

Place your kexts in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other

You should have a sample config.plist inside /EFI/CLOVER remove it.

Yosemite and later used a built in program called createinstallmedia to automagically make a USB stick. It is possible to create a bootable USB stick without this program.
You'll need an 8GB USB stick and either the Install Mac OS X Lion.app or InstallESD.dmg or BaseInstall.dmg.
Open Terminal, you'll need it in most of this tutorial.
We're going to need to start by getting to the actual installation disk image.
Step 1a - Install Mac OS X Lion.app
Mine is in Applications, but you can put it anywhere for this.
In Terminal:
Should output something like: ./Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg
In Terminal:
Step 1b - BaseInstall.dmg
Open your BaseInstall.dmg file.
In Terminal:
From here you should see something like OS X Install ESD or something like that, cd into that path.
It should show something like: ./BaseSystem.dmg
In Terminal:
Step 1c - InstallESD.dmg
If you just have an InstallESD.dmg or BaseSystem.dmg file, you should just open them.
Look in Volumes you should see something like OS X Base System, remember whatever it shows.
Step 2 - Find Your Install Disk
Should display something like:
Take note of the disk, for example mine is /dev/disk3s2.
Step 3 - Preparing Your USB Stick
Insert your USB Stick.
In Terminal:
Should display something like something else may appear depending on your stick.
Take note of the disk, in my case /dev/disk4.
Partition it.
Should output something like this:
Here you want to take note of the Initialized line, specifically your disk, mine is /dev/rdisk4s2.
Step 4 - Restore from the DMG File
WARNING IF YOU PUT THE WRONG DISKS IN HERE YOU CAN WIPE YOUR MACHINE
The source should be the disk from Step 2, the target should be the disk from Step 3
This should prompt you for your login password and display:
Step 5 - Make Bootable
In Volumes now you should have your USB stick and original installer and possibly other mounts.
I do a force unmount here, this will not unmount your system disk(s).
Remove and re-insert your USB Stick now.
